The Infinix Hot 10 Review: Incredibly Hot For The Price
The Infinix hot 10 is one of the devices that represent the advancement in the mobile and smartphone industries. Being a mid-range device, and coming at a perfectly positioned price tag, owning it could be a move in the right direction – especially if you are looking for something that can do it all.
Infinix has, over time, proven to offer customers value for money. And in the Hot 10, they do it quite better. Is it a device worth spending on? Let’s find out in this review.
Infinix Hot 10 Design and displayÂ
- 6.78-inch HD+Infinity-O display(720×1640)
- 171.1 x 77.6 x 8.8mm
- Rear fingerprint reader
The design of the Hot 10 is one of its amazing features. Over the years, Infinix smartphones have remained mostly unchanged, with a few shifts in design. These have been put in the past, with significant upgrades in both the size of the phone as well as the body build.Â
The Hot 10 is visibly unique right from the shape of the body, to the camera array and to the colors. The back is crafted with laser making it beautiful and shiny from an onlooker’s perspective.
The right side of the phone houses the power and volume buttons, while on the left you’ll find a SIM card slot. On the bottom you find a USB port, speaker, and a headphone jack. Speaking of sound, the output employs the DTS audio processing technology, with which you can customize sound effects to enjoy better sound quality experiences in movies, music, and gaming at any time.
The display of the Hot 10 is a 6.78-inch HD+Infinity-O display with a 720×1640 resolution. If you’ve used an Infinix device before, you’ll find that it looks really nice with the usual bright and vivid colors. The sides of the display are curved making it a lot more appealing and easier to hold.
Performance and battery
- Helio G70
- 3GB RAM
- 64GB storage
- microSD card expansion
- 5,200mAh battery
Infinix included 3GB of RAM and 64GBÂ of storage in the device. These specs are effectively the default for any budget friendly smartphone worth holding in 2020, and indeed do a decent job.
The phone comes with a 5,200mAh battery – typical of Infinix smartphones. I got just over six hours of screen-on time, with close to 30 total hours of use. With minimal usage, you can be sure to get a two-day battery life on full charge. The only thing that missed to make the equation complete is the fast charging capability.Â
Infinix Hot 10 Camera
- Rear: 16MP+2MP+2MP+AI lens
- Front: 8MP
The Infinix Hot 10 has four camera sensors on the back and one on the front. However, images from the Hot 10 are okay to say the least, but given that it is not your typical go-to phone for photography, results are rather mixed.
With a number of modes to try out depending on the environment, and the ability for AI to recognize the object, you can be sure of some nice output with a set focus. The selfie camera offers equally okay images. Â
Software
- XOS Dolphin v7
- Android 10
The Hot 10 runs Infinix’s XOS Dolphin based on Android 10, and it’s effectively much more performant in terms of features onboard and results. Basically, XOS 7.0 features a new visual design with trendy and rich color to enhance excellent user experience. It also boasts outstanding performance and latest native android features.
